Chrysalis

My neighbor is part of a project to reintroduce Pipevine to the area to support the Pipevine Swallowtail caterpillars. This is their only food. This chrysalis is proof of the success of her endeavors. Hard to spot and very well camouflaged, this gorgeous artifact will soon yield a new butterfly. The absolute miracle of this transformation just knocks me out.
