Geographically Challenged

We found ourselves in the backwaters of Airth instead of somewhere near the Kelpies. However, this gave us unexpected views of  two Forth crossings - the Clackmannanshire Bridge, which opened to traffic on 19th November 2008 as a relief for the Kincardine bridge, which we could see after a short walk.
That had served the crossing since 1936, and is my extra for the day; the central section is a swing bridge which until 1988 allowed large ships access to Alloa, some three miles upstream.
