Lily

Overcast first thing, but lots of sunshine during the late morning and afternoon. As it was a little cooler this morning I decided I would sort out the North bedroom. While the builders are here we have stored quite a lot of ‘stuff’’ in there, including all the new towels for the bathrooms as well as various other things. It has taken most of the day with only a short stop for lunch and a walk round the garden, but looks much better and will be even better once we can finally finish decorating.
 
Today’s picture is of a red Lily, last year this did not flower as the deer ate the buds. This year, with some of the builders ‘rubbish’ blocking some of this border they are unable to get to it. There is the added bonus of the insect, which I saw flying in as I was taking the picture; you have the insect at the expense of the flower bud which I cut off whilst getting the insect!
