Butterfly Day

Despite a rather brisk wind, a short walk while Amy was at the stables yielded six butterfly species making this my best butterfly day of the year.  This rather tatty Ringlet was the hardest to photograph, they were not often still and seemed to favour more shady places.  Others seen were Comma, Meadow Brown, Gatekeeper, Large Skipper and Small White ... see extras.

Ruth still awaiting place in rehab.  She has a new tablet to play with so has less need of visitors!
