Wednesday 30 May 2012: Unknown Fishy Thing
Backblipped for 30 May
Today was our free day; useful for our leader to catch up on forthcoming tour arrangements but especially nice for us as we could meet friends from Switzerland who were also in Shetland.
After a look (and coffee and scones) round the museum we headed off to Scalloway then down over the newish bridges linking Tondra and the Burras with Mainland.
We found this poor creature (whatever it is - huge eyes and spikes by its gills) washed up on the beach at Banna Minn, too late to be rescued so preserved forever on Blip.
Back in Lerwick we feasted on Shetland Lamb at Monty's Bistro before saying farewell to our friends.
