Saturday 26 May 2012: Deer Oh Deer!
Back Blip #2
Sunday morning brought another georgous day and a small herd of Red Deer grazing on the valley floor. Using a line of trees as cover I had a go at seeing how close I could get. The trees ran out about 300 yards/metres short of the deer so it was down on my belly to get within 200 yards/metres. (note to self... Doing this in a kilt is not very practical:) now they sensed something was up and started looking about. I got off a number of shots before they finally spooked. I chose this shot as it shows the different stages of antler growth
