Life with The Pinks

Last night was pretty awful. The wind was 45mph according to the news, and it was raining heavily too.  At 2am ish the tent collapsed on us, so we evacuated the minis and Peppa Dog into the other end of the tent, and went out in the storm to rescue what we could. Thankfully we managed to repeg the tent, using the rest of the pegs we had, but others were not so lucky. Lots of the campers evacuated leaving flooded and wind beaten tents. I didn't get a lot of sleep because I worried about the tent going again, but thank God all was ok!
After a trip home to get the heavy duty rock pegs, and to walk peppa, Mr Pink re-sorted the whole tent. Meanwhile, the minis and I indulged in some comfort food in form of pancakes and hot chocolate.
After the storm had passed we headed into the festival ready to meet up with our lovely friends who were travelling down/up to the festival. The first to arrive were Rachel and Aaron, and they'd had a bit of a rubbish journey. Later on Emz and Demz arrived and as a group we sampled some of the festival food and some local cider and beer. We watched Justin Fletcher from cbeebies who was fabulous. The acoustic stage was lovely in the afternoon sunshine, and we particularly enjoyed Dodo Bones. Miss Pink got into the festival spirit with her flower hairband, and self styled outfit complete with scarf. The scarf which she bought at the festival I add. She walked into one of the trade stalls and said to the stall holder, I'd like to buy a scarf! Nevermind that Mummy hadnt actually said she'd buy a scarf!!! I give her dues though, she wore it the whole weekend and was very proud of it!
Later in the evening after Rachel and Aaron had had to head home, we went off to the main stage to watch Chaz and Dave. They were brilliant. I have to be honest, I wanted to watch them, more as a bit of a joke, but they were amazing, and everyone at the festival was having a brilliant time watching/dancing to them!
Master Pink was starting to get weary by this point, so we all headed back to the tent, and listened to Toploader from the comfort of our camp beds!
We've had a fabulous day despite the weathers best efforts last night! Great friends, yummy food and some very nice cider, and lots of dancing! hoorah!
