call from daughter no 2 saw me driving across Glasgow in the rush hour in the pouring rain to flat sit for the gas man - broken boiler meant the flat was cold so her two 'babies' -normally real posers - decided to stay in bed.

luckily I escaped at lunchtime, only to arrive home to find that
this horror hasn't lost her touch at nearly 16 - a wee baby blue tit, quite dead, in the utility room. grrrrrrrrrrrrr!
