Still five

I went up to the office in the morning to attend a meeting about student numbers, which was even more gripping than usual. The sun was shining brightly, as befits a day that was not a public holiday in Scotland - I heard from colleagues down south who had the day off that it was tipping it down.

When I got off the bus at the Shore I was very pleased to see the family Swan - all five young 'uns still in evidence, and too big now to be bothered by pesky gulls.

We finally got round to trying the bottle of flinty English wine that I bought down south . It's much better than we expected; quite good in a dry, delicate sort of way.
