Tuesday 19 June 2012: Feed the Birds

Feed the birds
Whatever they need
Be it nut or insect
Fat ball or seed
We've taken their land
We've taken their trees
Greed has no limits
It takes what it sees
Flowers of the meadow
Birds of the air
Ivory of elephant
What does it care
Robbing Hood
Benefactor in reverse
Modern man's desire
Mother Nature's curse
Those with a heart
Those of us who care
We stand up and count
Whenever we dare
To confront the wrath
Of the corporate face
By creating for Nature
A tiny breathing space
So please feed the birds
Give as you aught
Cause Greed will not
Give them a damn thought!
