On the Tramway

We took several of our Duke of Edinburgh students on a local navigation training walk today.  We started from Hirst Wood then went via Shipley Glen to Baildon Moor and down to Saltaire.  When we came down from the moor, I spotted that the Glen Tramway was open and suggested we took a ride down to the bottom of the hill.  They loved it!  You can keep your upside down roller coasters and your water splashes, this timeless Victorian built simple tram, run by volunteers, continues to please - and at 30p each very good value for money too!
