baby deer

(camping in Ocala National Forest, Clearwater Lake Campground)
we arrived early afternoon, after spending last night and this morning at another park about an hour from here. Husband D had ridden his bike around the park a bit and came upon one of the does with a new fawn in a campsite. We went back in the jeep, hoping to be less conspicuous, but both moms were nervous- this was taken from far away..and they were far from still. The wildlife here has always been more "wild", less aproachable, than at the state park at Lake Kissimmee we go to often. Hunting is allowed in the National Forest here during season (not right in camping areas)Thunderstorms on and off all afternoon and evening.
