The Rambling Rector

After two days of Indian summer, today we had a deluge. No walking round Stamford today, but a leisurely shop in Waitrose followed by a free cappuccino drunk in the car while reading New Scientist. Ben's still persisting with college, though today felt a bit of a struggle as he's contracted the obligatory start of term cold. The sun came out briefly this evening and lit up the flush of new blooms on our Rambling Rector rose. This usually only flowers in June, but this year is having a very profuse and welcome second flowering..
