East Lothian seascape at dusk

It was lovely to escape the city at dusk and head east.

We hoped to catch some of the last of the migrating geese at Aberlady but the majority had wisely already done a flit! There were still plenty of sea birds to distract us and a number of other twitchers fore gathered  among the reed beds.  ( No Mandarin or Peking ducks to be seen though as they were all in London today, methinks!)

Today was likely to be the last still autumn day for a while, according to the forecast. That was the reason for this foray to the further coast before the sun set and the half moon rose.

A productive day of work from my home office proceeded this excursion and further work beckons now before this day is done!

Cockenzie Power station turbine hall - minus the chimneys  - can be seen on the left.
