Egret & Northern Pintail at Fernhill

I had a great hike out at Fernhill Wetlands this morning...it was rather overcast and chilly, but there were lots of photo opportunities and a great day for getting some exercise.

This is the first northern pintail of the season for me, and he was all alone and wanted to hang with the egret.  Another group that hung out together were the Canada Geese and the Short-billed Dowitchers.

As I walked back I saw flocks of red-winged blackbirds....they were beautiful against the reeds.
