Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2015 Saturday -- Pumpkins Galore

We woke early this morning to discover the wind was breezy, which is better than windy. Autumn is here and we are enjoying this immensely.

Today we went inland to the city of Paseo Robles to the Lowe's store to get a ceiling fan and the light kits (all of which we ordered online sometime ago and now we have all three ceiling fans and the light kits for them). While we were in the store, I thought we needed to look at carpet. Our construction guys have said that soon they will need to have our decision regarding carpet. I really like the StainMaster PetGuard brand and I found several colors/shades that would look nice.

On our way back to the coast, we stopped at Jack Creek Farms because we had never seen the place before. It looked cute, seasonal, and like a fun place. We didn't purchase anything and we did not stay long, but we were glad we stopped to lookey.

When we got back to the house, Mr. Fun got the pups out of their crates (we had not taken them with us because we thought we'd need the extra room in the car for the big box the fan came in and for the light kits). He took them for a walk and I made them a late lunch.

The rest of the day was a pretty big do-nothing event as we simply relaxed the hours away.

P.S. While we were looking at carpet, I had sent an email to our builder to show him what we were looking at. Later in the evening he replied to let me know that what we were looking at was very expensive. SHOOT! He said it would put us over budget by $1,500.00 (what else is new?)! So we're thinking this over. We have StainMaster carpet in our home down south; we've had it 21 years and it still looks very nice. The builder wants us to put a wood ceiling in the front room, but doing wallboard instead would be $3,000.00 less. Decisions!
