Angel window

In Montolieu, a town of books north of Carcassonne, the window and balcony styles were quite different from home and even from the village where we're staying, but I didn't expect to see an angel in one of them! An interesting day looking around the museum of printing (its website, in French, is here), which deserves to be much more widely known for its permanent displays and its temporary exhibitions, this summer engravings including Dürer and Hogarth from a personal collection owned by Gelonch Viladegut. We had lunch in the shade of plane trees in a little place by the church and then went to the glass workshop I blipped last year and bought too many books (not that I can have too many) in a fantastic second-hand bookshop next door. Back 'home' to the chambre d'hote on a very hot afternoon (33 C) for a siesta and a swim in the pool...bliss! I could live like this for quite a while, but we must go home tomorrow.
