The Eel Hole

I spent a lot of today at work - it's amazing how much you can get done on a Sunday!

I took a break at 10.30 and headed out to the Red Barn for brunch.  It was such a beautiful spring day that I took a wee drive around on my way back to work.  I've been so busy lately that I haven't really looked around me much at all.  It made me realise just how much we take our beautiful surroundings for granted here.

This is "The Eel Hole," a local swimming spot on the Buller River.  Too early in the season for any swimmers yet, but give it another month and there'll be kids diving off those rocks, swinging off the rope and generally enjoying the cool water.
