Bannockburn

This was a grrreat Summer day and my Bannock very nearly did burn but luckily (it was planned said The Boss) there was a stream halfway around this area and I was able to “fill up”
This Conservation area was the site of early alluvial gold activities and the entire valley was created by this activity. It is huge but in a special way quite beautiful and the formations are a miniature version of those found in Utah but only 45 minutes down the road from Wanaka. At this time of the year Thyme is always on your side along with California Poppies so the photographic possibilities are endless and had The Boss wanting to come bark at dawn. I am definitely NOT allowed to bark at Dawn and even snuffling at day break is frowned on.

There are some extras today just to give you an idea on this location should you come our way sometime..Bring cheese…OK?

Oh and The Boss was to lazy to bring his Olympus so this was all Iphone.
Woof?
