Looks Good To Me

Scottish Delights

Cynthia and I made one of our infrequent joint trips to Costco yesterday, before the holiday madness begins.

We were happy to see the Walkers shortbread available once again-- we've been buying it for several years. They have a decent selection of single malt whiskys, and I was intrigued by this Bowmore matured in Bourbon barrels.

Here's what Bowmore's marketing people say about it:

Tasting Notes
On the eye warm gold.
Breathe in vanilla fudge, sea air and peat smoke, balanced beautifully by honeycomb and cinnamon spice.
Sip mouth-watering citrus, gentle saltiness and vanilla with flakes of coconut.
Savour the wispy smoke, bourbon vanilla and lime finish.

Does anybody really taste all that? There must be an app to write that stuff. We both liked it very much, but the only thing we noticed was the typical Islay peat smokiness. Maybe we didn't drink enough -- I'll give it another try tomorrow!
