Mono Monday :: mm94 :: Another Brick in the Wall

Nook thought he was being ignored by Cranny...

.... it was like he was talking to just another brick in the wall.




This week's MM by GoranZebuhr has proved challenging, as it should. Getting inspiration from a title or words of a song can be limiting but this one gave two good options. 

I have gone more literal in the visual example by using N&C but it covers both sides of my experience of education.

As a kid enduring education just before the time of the song I was, like Cranny, just another brick in the wall. Later in life I became a higher level teacher's assistant and can relate to poor Nook thinking he is talking to a brick wall at the same time having empathy with poor Cranny. 

We are all bricks in the construction of life's foundations. It is the architects and craftsmen that determine and mould what type of brick that is created.

After all the same brick could end up being part of a palace or a garden wall. It's strange to think I have been both...
