Novel approach

I wonder why there aren't more novels with a climate change - or at least environmental  - theme. Please tell me of any you know about. I very much liked this 2012 novel and recommend it strongly. Kingsolver is a biologist and a very gifted narrator - her Prodigal Summer is another with an ecological storyline.
You may be interested in another literary offering: the Guardian's Keep It In The Ground campaign has recently featured a number of poems read by actors, and I especially liked those by Jackie Kay and Gillian Clarke.  Find them here under the heading 'Our melting, shifting, liquid world'. Jackie Kay's theme matches one meaning of the title of Kingsolver's book - our collective flight from reality.
Third in a series leading up to the climate change talks (COP21) in Paris next week.
