The belle of the ball

We ended the week at a Royal Ball for Kings and Queens, celebrating the birthday of our friend S (pictured). Our hostess requested fancy dress, so Mr hazelh and I went along as the King of Spades and the Queen of Hearts.

Mr hazelh carried a trowel in one hand and a sword in the other. He also wore a very clever homemade curly beard. I donned my fancy heart-patterned tights and a heart pendant. We both wore crowns.

There were many other kings and queens at the ball. Even fairyland sent along a couple of reps. The Queen Bee was also there. She treated us all as her subjects when she issued each of us with a small pot of honey.

Amongst the guests was gbees. We haven't seen her since nadinepierce's wedding on 26th September so we particularly enjoyed chatting to her.

Exercise today: morning running in 19'49", sit-ups, weights, walk to work, walk to party and back (19,450 steps)
