Monday 2 July 2012: EC20: a bit spooky...
A great part of the machine hall is dark.....
A leak in the auxiliary steam system (at the right) causes some hissing noise....
The stainless steel tank on the middle left side is called the "milk tank", and was used as an emergency feedwatertank for the auxiliary boiler during major overhaul. The tank is no more in use, and the auxiliary boiler is scrapped... those were the days.
Some emergency lights are still working, the fluorescent light is coming from outside the building.
Better in LARGE....
Our shift has to start up two units, and prepare two others for start-up in the morning shift. Hope it will all work out well.
