More Tea, Vicar?

Today we enjoyed afternoon tea with our friends Tony & Rosie at Cricket St Thomas hotel. The kids bought Tess this experience for her birthday last year and she decided to save it for a post birthday treat this year.

Tony's birthday is two days after Tess's so we made it a double celebration and had a very sociable afternoon. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were followed by two bowls of strawberries and cream. We're now stuffed and had to bring home doggie bags.

The stately home here at Cricket St Thomas has had a chequered career. When the kids were young it was a small zoo and theme park that we used to have free entry to by dint of having our milk delivered by the local dairy.

It was Later the set for the TV series To The Manor Born and, more notoriously, home to Noël Edmonds Blobblyland!

It's now a very smart hotel and looked very attractive, all decked out for Christmas as tthe extra of the main staircase shows
