Breathtaking

We had Ben Heason come into school today to talk to the children and formally open our new climbing wall. Unfortunately the weather has meant that the evening picnic do and opening ceremony has had to be cancelled, but his talk to the school was incredible.

He showed the children a slide show to accompany a talk on his upbringing, passion and achievements - extremely inspirational stuff. This was a part where he was showing them some of the equipment he uses.

As someone who is absolutely terrified of heights I have nothing but admiration and awe for such people. I get sweaty palms just thinking about it, the images on his site about the climb of Angel Falls are breathtaking and make me very queasy.
