Tuesday 3 July 2012: Corner reflection
In Pézenas, in the same street as the picture framer's shop. The statue, which was meant to protect people from the dangers thought to lurk at corners, now has to be protected from the elements itself. Called in on the way home to the farewell drink for our village postman who is off to live in the tropics on La Réunion (part of France even though it is in the Indian Ocean). We'll miss him and his cheerful comments on how good our cooking smells as he passes by the window.
