Heron Landing

What an amazing hour of pure bliss taking photographs of a very cooperative blue heron here at Roche Harbor WA.

At first I was very careful and crept closer, but this heron took to flight only twice and only went about 30 feet --he was NOT trying to get away from me:))

After about a half hour I got closer and closer and closer...finally I basically walked as close as I could making noise and that did not seem to worry him one little bit. By that time, people were gathering, as he was so beautiful to just stand and watch. What a great day....amazing meeting with nature!
