A Day with Arvin

We took off this morning and headed down Chuckanut Drive. It was a bit overcast when we left but soon cleared and turned into a beautiful sunny day. We meandered down through Edison toward the tulip fields in Skagit County. On the way we saw a large flock of Snow Geese and I took a bunch of photos of them. Next we walked on the trail at Padilla Bay where we saw Great Blue Herons and Cinnamon Teals and chatted with two couples along the way. After that we headed to Roosengaarde to see the tulips. They have the most beautiful gardens there. The tulips are about 1/3 out right now. There are many more to come. My guess is that next weekend will be the peak. But what was there was delightful and gorgeous in the sun. We had a lovely day together.

Note: I just noticed the gals on the left who must be twins. How interesting to see them dressed the same and looking very much alike. And one is pregnant and one isn't. I didn't notice that when I took the photo.
