My precious

I brought these beers from Brussels. One small bottle of Morte Subite Kriek is missing (drank it a while before taking the photo) and one large bottle of Cantillon geuze (gave it away).

The beer is very much cheaper in Belgium. For example a small bottle of Chimay Blue or Duvel costs 1 euro in an ordinary food store. In Finland Duvel cost over 3,5 euros in last autumn (can't remeber exactly anymore) and Chimay Blue costs 4,18 ?. You can't buy Duvel to take it home with you from anywhere. Our alcohol monopoly company doesn't have it in their selection any longer. None of these beers can be purchased in Finland (except for restaurant with a good beer selection to be drank on the site).

The beer was cheaper also in bars. Proper Belgian beers like Orval cost 3-4 euros in pubs. Half of what they cost here. So yes, I would've brought much more beer with me if we would've been travelling by car. But it was already a great effort to bring these travelling in a train.

Many of the bottles (especially larger ones) won't be consumed for a while. I will store them for at least a few months since most of those beers will develop in a bottle.

The beers included in this blip (L to R):
Hanssens artisanaal Oude Geuze
Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor
Westvleteren 12
Rochefort 8
Kasteel Rouge
Moortgat Duvel
Huyghe Delirium Tremens

3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek
Brasserie d'Achouffe Mc Chouffe

A votre sante/ Gezondheid! (Cheers)
