Thursday 19 July 2012: Rain Daisy .....
..... or a daisy in the rain!
Very apt for the weather we are having today (again) and looks good on large too.
This is a Cape Marigold (Dimorphotheca pluvialis) - also known as a Rain Daisy, African Moon Flower or Weather Prophet.
I have blipped these before (yellow, pink and mauve) - but they are so pretty and this one looked so nice covered in raindrops that I thought it deserved a day to itself.
Thank you for all your comments stars and hearts yesterday that sent the lawn daisies to the spotlight page early this morning.
