Tidying Up After The Rain

Down in Musselburgh we watched a crew clearing up the large logs and debris that had collected on the footings of the bridges when the River Esk was in spate, following the persistant rainfall. They had already dragged a substantial pile from the bridge towards the bank and were busy cutting it up with very efficient chainsaws while the digger pulled more from the river.

Then we went downstream and watched the escapees negotiating the weir before they floated gently out to the tideline.
