Severn Replacement Crossing

Backblipped for 16th April

Managed to be packed and cleaned up our home-from-home and leave by 08.47, an unheard-of achievement for we Flums. However, we have a rendezvous in the Midlands and cannot delay.

We crossed the M4 Second Severn Crossing, inaugurated in 1996 to relieve traffic on the original bridge, of particular interest to us, being of a similar design to our own Queensferry Crossing (or Forth Replacement Crossing). We met my Brother and Sister-in-law for lunch as planned then continued, experiencing the first poor weather of our holiday, to Leicestershire and a visit to the new gravestone of my aunt and grandparents. And so to our Travelodge for the night.
