cloud formations...

...in the sky

hoping to catch a bird in flight - i looked up into the skies - and instead found myself gazing - at the most intriguing cloud formations i have seen - in a very long time - and the thing was that the sun - was gazing back at me from the midst - of those very clouds - in a sort of blue haze - it caught me so off guard i forgot - for a moment why i was looking up - instead just fully enjoyed the extraordinary moment - then i came out of my stupor, remembering my purpose - and clicked off several shots - deciding this was the one i liked best

we have been having lots of afternoon storms - mixed with haze from neighboring fires - so i am sure the combination is what has - created this interesting palette in the sky - i have merely done a bit of cropping - plus a hint of contrast but otherwise it's out of the camera - i didn't want to mess too much with - what nature had done so well - and created for us to enjoy as...
