The scruffy wooden box has been given a make-over and is fit for purpose as a sewing box!!

It belongs to a friend and was used as a type of tool box by her grandfather. It shows the scars of being well used inside, but is now clean and presentable. The wood is oak and the grain is beautiful!!

It has been an interesting project as I've needed to source a new lock, small knob and sticky backed felt for the bottom. The internet is great for finding things, but there are "many frogs before you find a prince"!!!

We emptied out the nesting box that had a family of great tits earlier this year. The nesting material had twigs and moss as expected, but unexpectedly a lot of dog hair!! Possibly from our neighbours golden labrador!!

P & R have arrived safely in Kathmandu this afternoon!! :0)
