Played Hookie.....

Haven't done that in a little while!!! After some computer work, and reorganizing the showroom, (it was a mess) i headed off to Baddeck for a lunch date with a good friend, Melanie! We chatted for over 3 hours!!! This is sort of an unusual thing for me to do, summertime is just so busy i tend to just hunker down with all the other hard working souls here at Big Hill, the season is short lived! But what a treat it was to dally over lunch with a glass of wine, and find out what is going on this lovely woman's life! Apart from life with an almost 1 year old, who is totally adorable,
she, and her husband Jeremy are in the process of establishing the first micro brewery here on Cape Breton Island! I have tasted their beer, it is awesome!!! I had no idea it had progressed to such a stage! I'm going to head over their in the next week or so to take some shots of the construction and their fields of hops....gotta record this momentous moment!

time for hamburgers on the BBQ, fresh salad from the garden and a beer or 2! life can be so sweet !
