Today's the day ...................... to depart

Time to leave Bob, Helen and Merrybent Hill and return home today.  We were sad to depart from such a lovely place and their good company.  I'm sure we will return though - and in the meantime, Helen has been persuaded to become a blipper.  She's a very good photographer and an author, so it's a good sort of place for her to be.  You can find her here.

Incidently, we awoke this morning to the news of the sad and unexpected death of Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster.  He died at the Royal Preston Hospital on Tuesday after suddenly becoming ill on his Abbeystead Estate.  Abbeystead is about fifteen miles down the road from Merrybent Hill so it brought it all very close to home.
 
According to those in the know, the Duke's fortune was estimated at £8.3bn, making him the world's 68th richest person and the UK's third...........................
