Sunday 5 August 2012: Lunch with the girls
French brasserie The Zedel opened quite recently on the site of the Atlantic Bar and Grill, location of much hedonism in the nineties. We have fond memories.
The Zedel is part of the chain which brought us The Wolseley (location of my 50th birthday), and The Delaunay, where we had hot dogs with Victoria Beckham, so we were expecting good things.
Not disappointed, it was also fantastic value. My fixed price lunch cost around twelve quid and included this little lemon tart. Fine pastry work and more to it than met they eye. I think I tasted a hint of passion fruit in there, which made the lemon sing!
