Experiment

This is a photo I have been thinking about for some time. I knew the vine would provide great black and white texture, but I still wanted the color of the bloom. I worked back and forth between Photoshop and Lightroom during our typical afternoon rainstorm to see what I could accomplish. I really wanted the flower to be more within the vine so there wasn't quite as much open space, but advanced techniques like that will need much longer rainstorms to keep me at the computer practicing.
