Brand New

This Grants gazelle baby was only about an hour old.  Still wet and staggering on it's feet.  Mum was close by but if I was a hungry cheetah I wouldn't give this baby much of a chance.

A long drive from Mt Kenya region north to Samburu in desert conditions.  It became gradually warmer and warmer and as always when we arrived at the camp we were greeted with cool drinks and towels to freshen up.  We are staying at Elephant Bedroom camp.  So called because naughty Ellies often walk through the camp.

We went out on a game drive at 4 when it had cooled off a bit and as we were heading back to camp came across this new born.  The extra is of a gravy zebra we had come across earlier.  They have quite narrow stripes in comparison to the more common zebras.
