The Christmas Tree

It's actually an Acacia but with the weaver bird nests hanging down like Christmas decorations it could be a Christmas tree.  This is sunrise and it's about time I gave you a landscape of this rugged area.

The first extra is of a cheetah we came across.  I do love cheetahs.

The last is of a village we visited.  We were told that there is Ethiopian blood in the people of the village.  Around this area are what appear to be people from the Sudan and Somalia.  They definitely dress differently and carry themselves differently.

The villagers lead a very simple life but rich none the less.  Cow dung houses, no electricity or water, no fridges and yet they seemed very happy.  Greeted by the woman singing and young men leaping (Masai style) we delivered some solar lights and bought a few trinkets.

Back to the camp for another game drive and fruitless hunting of leopard.  We went round and round in circles looking for that kitty but it was very elusive.
