Golden hour

Well, actually a golden day. Conor's friend wasn't going to football, so we all decided to stay in bed, hiding from the cool cloudy weather. By the time we did get out and about, it was brightening up so Conor was dropped off for lunch with his friend and Katherine and I headed off for some shopping and a trip to my old favourite garden centre (for a present - not sure Ryanair would cope with a potted dahlia as hand luggage).

Then a lazy lunch and reading in the garden followed by friends for tea, then meeting more friends down the beach for fizz and crisps. And the beautiful light. And one friend had helpfully brought her husband who did an admirable play leader job with 5 kids and a dog.

A mad rush back for the 200 metres (which turned out to be on later than we'd remembered) and dinner, and relax.
