Sunday 12 August 2012: cheddar caves

more WOW today!

cheddar gorge is very impressive, cheddar caves are uber amazing!

you get a real feel for the vast amount of time nature has taken to sculpt these caves from the rocks. there are little holes and ports running off all over the place, great caverns with huge ceilings, stalagtites and stalagmites (however you spell it?) and the greatest part for me was the "miniature caves" as seen here. shallow pools of water reflecting the image perfectly of the strange shapes of the rock and minerals.

if you havn't been, you need to, but take a tripod!
