The Angus Inn

Are you prepared?

Ailsa and her wee friend Ella helps us to get prepared by picking up the 5 gallon bottles and walking around with them highlighting the fact that we still need to fill them with water.

For those who don't live in an earthquake zone, we got them from local Civil Defence as the starting point for our Earthquake Readiness kit. Whilst there hasn't been a decent sized quake in Wellington for a long time, history shows that it will happen again one day - the largest earthquake ever recorded on new Zealand was 8.2 on the richter scale in 1855 which is massive! Amazingly only 1 life was lost - the population is about 30 times higher now so we won't be so luck next time.

And on that note.....have a safe Christmas everyone!
