I said so....

The Tunnel has been opened.
I have not driven trough it yet. Am not sure, when shall I, or should I.
During the rush hour (between 16pm and 17pm)  there was some 4000 vehicles in an hour - and of course there was a traffic jam too. The tunnel entering was closed three times.

I said so in advance. Only 2 lanes on the direction is the same amount than we had before under the skies... and everyday jam. But now there is no junctions in the tunnel.

You can now see the Highway12 been lined in a new way.

In the YLE news it was told that: "The tunnel, running between the Santalahti and Naistenlahti districts of Tampere is expected to be used by up to 45,000 vehicles a day, making it the most heavily-trafficked stretch of road in the country outside the capital.

Around 650 000 cubic metres of earth and stone were excavated during the construction project that began in 2013 and was completed six months ahead of schedule."

The main idea of building this tunnel was not the fluent traffic, but the idea was that there now is area to build houses and flats on the traffic tunnel. It would be lying to say something else.
