Knightsbridge

Today Knightsbridge more resembled Oxford Street more than an upmarket shopping destination. The north entrance of Harrods was surrounded by anti-fur protestors, Big Issue salesmen and a West Indian steel band (oddly).

I decided to watch the shoppers for a while, initially to see how they responded (or didn't) to the window display. Then I saw this rather beautiful Moslem women. I imagined her as Mohammed Al Fayed's ideal shopper. Contemporary and forward thinking, yet respectful to her religion.

A day to do last minute shopping and errands.

I start off today at Lidgates butcher in Holland Park buying meat to take up north (they don't have butchers up there anymore) and then a jaunt down High Street Kensington for odds and ends and Christmassy things.

I didn't intent to end up in Knightsbridge but found a great parking space while detouring the perennial roadworks at 'Harvey Nicks corner'.
