Purple and green

I'm loath to pick it, it's such a spectacular colour combination.

I'm also not quite sure what to do with it once I've picked it. I have vague memories of cooking kohlrabi once but I can't remember how, or what it tasted like - maybe slightly cabbageish?

Any suggestions for purple veggy culinary delights?
