Minack Theatre

Today was a day of culture and burgers. We went to see a morning show in the Minack Theatre this morning. It is an amazing place, a natural amphitheatre on the south Cornwall coast. It is set on the cliff side above Porthcurno beach it of course has been made (it not all natural) more useable with stairs and benches laid out in a semi circle over the stage.

Cath and I sat on a bench higher up on the cliff side where we had a great view of the stage as well as the ocean. As the show started we could feel the sun beginning to burn off the early morning cloud cover. We had an hour of warming skies and there was a hint of blue beginning to show through as the show ended. So we started to travel home only to be caught up in a torrential downpour. We were so happy that it hadn't arrived five minutes earlier.

This evening all my in laws went out to see a local theatre group perform the sound of music after a feast of burgers. Cath and I stayed in the house watching a DVD and backbliping.
