Definitely Creativity at work here in Scotland. This famous comic character from one of Scotland's oldest comic ms for children inspired our village postmaster to create his culinary work of art for the village Gala Day Men's Baking Competition- a hotly contested competition since it appeared for the first time last year.
The judge, a local baker was most impressed by the taste of the cake as much as by the wonderful creativity.
The trophy a beautifull wooden rolling pin , created by another of our highly talented villagers is now a much sought after prize. This year's cake was a worthy winner.
