Celtic connections

Duncan Chisholm plus assorted others at the City Halls with K who is a big fan. The musicians were excellent and a wide variety of rhythms and effects of the different musicians flitting in and out. Even a bit of Norman McCaig poetry spoken over one track. I was chuffed to have recognised it, not being a poetry buff.

Great concert supported by a rather unusual but excellent Brazilian band. Not sure of the celtic connection other than she played a fiddle (with a very curved bow).

The guy sitting beside me clearly wasn't a fan and sat through most of the first half with his fingers in his ears...

It strikes me that there are a couple of definite looks for men at Celtic connections gigs. Usually older with grey or greying hair. Hair is either very closely cropped or is on the longish side and quite unkempt looking. There is usually a beard to match. Outdoor clothing seems to be de rigeur.
